Look Like An Adult but Read Like a YA

If you are nothing like me then you may be a little embarassed about reading YA and children’s books all the time or you may just want to change things up a little bit. Take a look at the winners of the 2015 Alex Awards. The Alex Awards are given to ten books each year that are written for adults but have special appeal for young adults. So this summer you can read like an adult but still prepare yourselves to be full of suggestions for your teen readers. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: There are only 8 titles displayed as CLCD is a database of children’s literature and for that reason did not include all the winning titles. Additional winners were Sacred Heart by Liz Suburbia and Undocumented: A Dominican Boy’s Odyssey From a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League by Dan-el Pedilla Peralta.
