CLCD Wins Platinum Recognition in 2015 Modern Library Awards!

We are pleased to announce that CLCD has received a platinum award, the highest level of recognition in the Library Resource Group’s inaugural Modern Library Awards (MLA’s.) The MLA’s were created to recognize the top products in the library industry in an unbiased format. Evaluations were performed by librarians with experience using the products, resulting in a truly unbiased score. CLCD President, Ajay Gupte had this to say about the recognition:  “It is an honor to be selected for this award, especially since the judges were our customers. Our entire team focuses on doing their very best for our users, and accolades like this prove that we are succeeding in serving our customers’ needs.”

About the Modern Library Awards program

Modern Library Awards (MLAs), a product-review program designed to recognize elite products in the market which can help library management personnel enhance the quality-of-experience for the library user and increase the performance of their library systems. Products were submitted in the fall using a simple application, and then were posted on a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These products were batched into small groups and sent to the LRG database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products in their facilities were permitted to judge the products. Each judge scored the product on a numeric basis from 1-10. Scores above a 6.5 average were issued awards based on scoring level.
