Serendipitous CLCD Enterprise Searches
There are a lot of great things about CLCD Enterprise, but one of my favorites is the ability to get lost. Getting lost is not a bad thing, think Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Sometimes I feel like I have fallen down a rabbit hole. For example, thinking of ideas for this week’s newsletter, I remembered a book I had read, Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock. When I searched for this title in the database, I wasn’t surprised to see that it was an award winner, in fact it was on a total of 19 award lists, state reading lists, and best book lists.
For fun, I clicked on the link for one of the awards which led me to a whole new list of award-winning books. I continued this journey until I had a reading list of 10 different books from 10 different award lists, state reading lists, or best book lists. It was easy to wander happily among the thousands of local, regional and international awards, best books lists, and reading lists included in the database. It was a quick way to create a serendipitous reading list and then to save and share my list using the MyCLCD functions! Have fun with CLCD Enterprise and make it work for you. Check out the titles I came up with…
